Etymology: 

• The name brecciated jasper or Brechia comes from the Italian "breccia" which means "chipped" or cracked in reference to the characteristic appearance of the stone . Jasper, on the other hand, comes from the Latin "jaspidem" which means "spotted stone" because of the appearance of the first varieties of jasper.

Virtues on the physical level:

• Due to its Hematite content, this jasper helps treat blood circulation problems and high blood pressure by facilitating the passage the elimination of toxins from the body.

Cleaning, recharging, reprogramming:

• Clean with clear spring water or filtered water (never add salt to the water. Salt alters the structure of the mineral and the abyss). Soak the mineral overnight in an unmarked glass container, then take it out in the morning to rinse it with fresh spring or filtered water.
• Direct charging on a crystal or amethyst druse, in a crystal or amethyst geode.
