Jet or Jet
Presentation :
Names) :
- Jet or Jais. Variety of lignite coming from the carbonification of coniferous debris.
Etymology:
- Originally comes from Gagates, the name of a city and a river (Gagae) in Asia Minor.
Group, Family:
- Organic Substances Group. Fossilized wood.
Color :
- Black, Brownish.
Chandelier:
- Matte, Vitreous when polished.
Origin :
- France (Aude), England, United States, Germany, Russia, Poland, India, Turkey, Spain, Romania, Dominican Republic etc.
Crystal system:
- Amorphous.
Chemical composition :
- C (Carbon and impurities: not a mineral).
Transparency:
- Opaque.
Density :
- 1.19 to 1.35.
Hardness :
- 2, 3 to 4.
Cleavage:
- Null.
Breakage:
- Conchoidal.
Line color:
- Black to brown.
Shock resistance:
- Fragile.
Heat resistance:
- Very bad.
♦ bituminous shales, very sectile, slightly less dense than jet (1.28), were worked concurrently with jet from the Iron Age, and especially during the Roman era
♦ albertite, natural asphalt with a pitch-black luster, not very dense (1.10), soft (H = 2.5), poorly soluble in organic solvents, is probably the material initially named “jet”;
♦ lignites, brownish, sectile, not very dense (1.2), soft (H = 2.5), where the plant structures are clearly visible, preceded jet in its use which caused most of them to be abandoned;
♦ cannel coal, spore lignite rich in volatile matter, which burns with an illuminating flame, was exploited in Scotland; slightly denser, more brittle, less black and more matte, polishing less well than jet, it was mainly used to make vases. Bog-oak (bog oak) from Irish peat bogs is a related material.
♦ Pennsylvania anthracite, slightly metamorphosed coal, brittle, very shiny, with a semi-metallic resinous sheen, quite dense (1.5 to 1.7) was used in North America to make objects (cups, vases) as well only cameos and mourning jewelry.
♦ onyx (and sometimes other black silicates such as melanite garnet or schôrl tourmaline) was particularly commercialized at the turn of the 20th century.
Properties and virtues:
Physical virtues:
- Treats dental pain.
- Treats lung infections and inflammations.
- Treats inflammation and rheumatism: arthritis, osteoarthritis, etc.
- Treats the digestive system, stomach pain and gastric acid reflux.
- Reduces glandular swelling and treats lymphatic problems .
- Helps to decongest and reduce swelling in the lower limbs.
- Promotes dynamism and provides the body with a boost of energy.
- Treats migraines, ideal in combination with hawk's eye for ophthalmic migraines.
- Prevents epilepsy and calms spasms and convulsions.
- Treats menstrual cramps and painful periods.
- Regulates women's menstrual and hormonal cycles.
Psychological, emotional and mental virtues:
- Chases away bad dreams and nightmares and promotes sleep.
- Protects from bad luck, curses and entities.
- Drive away fears of dying, dark thoughts linked to death and support the dying and people at the end of life.
- Develops autonomy and organizational skills.
- Drives away negative states such as: fears, anguish and anxiety, depression, stress and moody moods.
- Promotes self-confidence and brings a little courage to help us get through difficult times in life.
- Support against the grief of the loss of a loved one.
- Promotes change, and supports us while encouraging us in each of the stages constituting these changes of direction: Death, divorce, separation, dismissal, etc.
Spiritual virtues:
- Powerful protective amulet.
- Promotes connection and communication with the deceased.
- Promotes mediumship as well as clear hearing and clairvoyance.
- Promotes anchoring, rooting and refocusing.
- Induces a state of deep appeasement and deep relaxation.
- Purifies and cleanses the auric and etheric bodies as well as the energy centers (chakra).
Chakra:
- Root chakra, 1st Ch: activates this chakra, thus promoting anchoring and rooting to the earth's core.
Cleaning, recharging, reprogramming:
- Cleaning with clear spring water or filtered water (never salt in the water. Salt alters the structure of the mineral and the abyss). Soak the mineral overnight in an unmarked glass container, and then take it out in the morning to rinse it with new spring or filtered water.
- Direct recharge on a crystal or amethyst druse, in a crystal or amethyst geode. You can also place a dozen laser or rock crystals in a circle (like a time dial), points toward the center, and place your minerals in the center to recharge them. Another method, place your minerals in a singing bowl: Tibetan or crystal bowl, (on a cotton cloth to avoid bowl/mineral vibrations), then ring the bowl to fill your minerals with this sound energy. Last method, place your minerals on a disc (wood or mineral) engraved with the flower of life or the seal of Solomon or any other forms of sacred geometry.
- Reprogramming: Reprogramming consists not of telling your mineral what it should or should not do, but of putting the mineral in resonate with you to ask him to do what he needs to do, for you. Reprogramming must be done after each cleaning and must remain simple. Example of reprogramming: "I ask this mineral to bring me all the virtues and benefits on different levels, for my greatest good as well as for the greatest good of the people around me."
