• Cat's eye (quartz variety).

Etymology : 

• Eye of cat : According to the characteristic color and appearance .

Group, Family: 

• Quartz family (Microcrystalline/Cryptocrystalline).

Color : 

• Tiger's Eye: Parallel fibers, Yellow, Dark Yellow and Brown (even Golden Orange), with Silky, Shimmering reflections. (Sometimes mixed with Hawk's Eye (Unaltered Crocidolite Pseudomorph)) | Pietersite: Like tiger's eye but without any particular organization of the fibers.

• South Africa, Australia, Mexico, Sri Lanka, Austria, Namibia (pietersite), etc.
