Staurolite ou Staurotide

Staurolite or Staurolite

Staurolite or Staurodite :

Staurolite or Staurolite
Staurolite cross of Saint Andrew.

Presentation :

  • Also called “Staurotide” or Pierre Croix” “Pierre de Croisette”, or “fairy cross”, because supposedly formed by the tears shed by the fairies at the announcement of the death of Christ. According to tradition, it is a talisman for good luck. It accentuates rituals and is used in white magic ceremonies. Supposed to provide access to the ancient wisdom of the Middle East, it connects the physical, etheric and spiritual planes, promoting communication between them. It is said that in Brittany, staurolite twins were once found in cultivated fields and that they were used as crosses for a rosary. This discovery was interpreted as a sign of fertility of the land, an omen of a good harvest.
  • Stone sometimes translucent, most often opaque which most of the time presents twins, forming perfect crosses.
