• India, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Germany, Greece.

Chemical composition :

• SiO2 | Coloring: Probably Iron in Fe2+ form | Note: This green coloring is rare in its natural state but can easily be obtained by heat treatment of certain amethysts or smoky quartz, particularly from Brazil (see Note below).

• Semi-opaque to Translucent.

• Generally constant around 2.650 (NB: framework taken from 2.60 to 2.7 in case of inclusions).
