  • Very bad.

bituminous schists, very sectile, slightly less dense than jet (1.28), were worked concurrently with jet from the Iron Age, and especially in the Roman era

♦ albertite, a natural asphalt with a pitch-black luster, low density (1.10), soft (H = 2.5), difficult to dissolve in organic solvents, is probably the material initially called “jet”;

♦ lignites, brownish, sectile, not very dense (1.2), soft (H = 2.5), where the plant structures are clearly visible, preceded jet in its use which caused most of them to be abandoned;

♦ Cannel coal, a spore lignite rich in volatile matter, which burns with an illuminating flame, was mined in Scotland; slightly denser, more brittle, less black and more matte, polishing less well than jet, it was mainly used to make vases. Bog oak from Irish peat bogs is a related material.

♦ Pennsylvania anthracite, a slightly metamorphosed coal, brittle, very shiny, with a semi-metallic resinous luster, quite dense (1.5 to 1.7) was used in North America to make objects (cups, vases) as well as cameos and mourning jewelry.

♦ onyx (and sometimes other black silicates such as melanite garnet or schôrl tourmaline) was particularly commercialized at the turn of the 20th century .

  • Induces a state of deep calm and relaxation.
  • Purifies and cleanses the auric and etheric bodies as well as the energy centers (chakra).

Chakra:

Jet or Jet

  • Root Chakra, 1st Ch: activates this chakra, thus promoting anchoring and rooting to the earth's core.

Cleaning, recharging, reprogramming:

  • Clean with clear spring water or filtered water (never add salt to the water. Salt alters the structure of the mineral and the abyss). Soak the mineral overnight in an unmarked glass container, then take it out in the morning to rinse it with fresh spring or filtered water.
  • Direct charging on a crystal or amethyst druse, in a crystal or amethyst geode. You can also place a dozen laser crystals or rocks in a circle (like a time dial), points towards the center, and place your minerals in the center to charge them. Another method is to place your minerals in a singing bowl: Tibetan or crystal bowl, (on a cotton cloth to avoid bowl/mineral vibrations), then ring the bowl to fill your minerals with this sound energy. Last method is to place your minerals on a disc (wood or mineral) engraved with the flower of life or the seal of Solomon or any other form of sacred geometry.
  • Reprogramming: Reprogramming is not about telling your mineral what to do or not to do, but about putting the mineral in resonate with you to ask it to do what it needs to do, for you. Reprogramming must be done after each cleansing and must remain simple. Example of reprogramming: "I ask this mineral to bring me all the virtues and benefits on the different levels, for my greater good as well as for the greater good of the people around me."
