• Light green, Apple green, Yellowish green, Green, Dark green, Brown, Grayish, sometimes Chatoyancy.

• Germany, Poland, Colombia, China, Taiwan, New Zealand, Mexico, Burma etc.

Chemical composition :

• Nephrite~Actinolite: Ca2(Mg,Fe2+)5Si8O22(OH)2 central member of the series from Tremolite: Ca2Mg5Si8O22(OH)2 to Ferro-actinolite: Ca2Fe2+5Si8O22(OH)2 | Coloration: Green to yellowish green: Trace of chromium and/or iron in Fe2+ form in octahedral coordination.

• Opaque to Translucent.

• 2.90 to 3.06 (usually around 2.95).

• 6 to 7.
