• Color: colorless, white or green, white line, transparent to translucent, vitreous and pearly luster.
• Break: irregular, perfect basal cleavage.
• Hardness: 4.5 to 5 on the Mohs scale.
• Tenacity: not very fragile.
• Density: 2.33 to 2.37.
