• Prasiolite / Green Quartz (variety of quartz).

Etymology:

• Prasiolite: From the Greek prasos=leek in allusion to the color.

Group, Family:

• Quartz family (Crystalline or Granular).

• Apple green, Light green to Green, usually Leek green.

Chandelier:

• Glassy.

Origin :

• India, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Germany, Greece.

• Trigonal.

Chemical composition:

• SiO2 | Coloration: Probably Iron in the form Fe2+ | Note: This green coloration is rare in its natural state but can easily be obtained by heat treatment of certain amethysts or smoky quartz, particularly from Brazil (see Note below).

• Semi-opaque to Translucent.

• Generally constant around 2.650 (NB: framework taken from 2.60 to 2.7 in case of inclusions).

Cleaning, recharging, reprogramming:

• Clean with clear spring water or filtered water (never add salt to the water. Salt alters the structure of the mineral and the abyss). Soak the mineral overnight in an unmarked glass container, then take it out in the morning to rinse it with fresh spring or filtered water.
• Direct charging on a crystal or amethyst druse, in a crystal or amethyst geode. You can also place a dozen laser crystals or rocks in a circle (like a time dial), points towards the center, and place your minerals in the center to charge them. Another method is to place your minerals in a singing bowl: Tibetan or crystal bowl, (on a cotton cloth to avoid bowl/mineral vibrations), then ring the bowl to fill your minerals with this sound energy. Last method is to place your minerals on a disc (wood or mineral) engraved with the flower of life or the seal of Solomon or any other form of sacred geometry.
• Reprogramming: Reprogramming is not about telling your mineral what to do or not to do, but about putting the mineral in resonate with you to ask it to do what it needs to do, for you.
