Charoite is a rare stone, found only in one place in Russia. Its name comes from the Chara river in the Alban massif in Russia. The Russian word "chary" means "magic" or "charm". This stone is from the silicate group. Discovered in 1947, it was only described and disseminated in 1978. It is found in the meta-somatic rocks of this Russian massif, which were formed at a temperature between 200 and 250 degrees. The color of charoite varies in purple, lilac and brown tones.

Charoite is a stone discovered relatively recently on which we have not found any stories. Charoite is a very attractive stone due to its purple color, but remains rare depending on the limitation of its exploitation. The only Russian region where it is found, in Siberia, remains difficult to access and strongly limits its exploitation.
